The CalWood Fire Becomes The Largest Fire In Colorado History

Almost 3,000 people in Colorado were forced to evacuate due to more than 8,700 acres of fire.

“Another fire that started Sunday about 20 miles northwest of Boulder had grown to more than 240 acres and led to the evacuation of three Boulder County foothill towns, officials said.”

The cause for this outrageously large fire has yet to be found and is still under investigation. There had been no lightning or other weather events that could have caused this. It is likely that it is from the recent dry weather due to the change in season.
